It’s super simple to make your own Car Air Freshener, cheaper in the long run, and you can use any scent you like, the possibilities are endless. First off, you will need:

• Felt (textured felt makes for a nicer look)
• A Ball Chain (or ribbon or anything else that you would like to use to attach your air freshener to your rear view mirror)
• Fragrance
• Scissors
• A Ruler (to help with cutting a straight edge)

Now that you have your supplies you will want to cut a strip from your felt. I like to tape a ruler to the felt and cut along the rulers edge to try and get the straightest cut I can.

Next you need to cut a hole towards the top of your felt strip. I like to fold it in half and cut out the shape of a triangle, this usually comes out nicer than tying to cut a circular shape . Then just attach your ball chain/ribbon, whatever you choose. Next all you have to do is apply your fragrance! What I like to do is press the felt over an open fragrance bottle, tilt the bottle and let the felt strip absorb some fragrance. Do this sporadically over your felt strip. Now just attach to your rear view mirror! These look nice and always hold fragrance well. It makes a car ride much more pleasant and I am forever getting compliments on it.
